A place where you can heal, strengthen, and grow.
Ashley Jansma MA LPC, Director
West Michigan has been my home for the past 8 years and I am thrilled to be able to practice counseling in the heart of the community that I love. My story began on the east side of the state where I graduated from Rochester Adams High School before continuing on to Central Michigan University. Here I earned my Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education, and immediately went on to pursue my Master of Arts in Professional and School Counseling. Through my various experiences at Central, I found my passion for trauma work and continued to deepen my love for working with children and adolescents. Upon graduation, I completed contractual work with the U.S. Navy providing sexual aggression and bystander intervention education and advocacy to sailors and marines. I transitioned into direct therapy work here in Grand Rapids with two local non-profits for 7 years before pursuing my dream of opening my own counseling practice. Outside of work I love spending time with my husband and daughters, exploring Michigan State Parks, baking, and DIY home improvement projects.
I work with children (Age 3+), adults, and families coping with a wide range of concerns. My areas of strength include anxiety, depression, grief and loss, PTSD, sexual abuse, problematic sexualized behaviors (Children 3-10), and trauma. Additionally, I am formally trained in EMDR and TFCBT for children.
